Matthew is everything you want from a painter and decorator- punctual, reliable, friendly, tidy and gets the job done right! Our 100 year old cottage had cracks and repairs that needed sorting, and it was all in need of a smarten up. Matthews quote was competitive and didn’t increase for no reason when the job was completed like other tradespeople we have used! He got on with the job in hand and I felt confident that he knew exactly what he was doing without me having to get involved. He maintained excellent communications and kept us informed and up to date. He was great company to have around the house (even helping me with my shopping delivery!) and me and my husband are very pleased with the work that he has done (again, other tradespeople have left us unimpressed!) I can highly recommend Matthew if you are looking for a painter and decorator.

Matt has been our go to decorator for the last 7/8 years. He is extremely professional and we are always more than happy with the quality of his work. Highly recommend for any decorating jobs big or small.

We had Matt paint the exterior of our house in the summer. I would highly recommend Matt’s decorating services. Not only has he done an exceptional job painting the exterior of our house, he most definitely took great pride in the quality of service he provides. He is incredibly reliable, punctual and communicates exceptionally well. Nothing was ever too much for Matt. Matt is professional, hard working, reliable, friendly and a pleasure to have in your home, I can’t praise him highly enough! Mum was buying a very run down bungalow and we needed to get at least some of the rooms fixed and decorated prior to her moving in so that she had some sanctuary in a chaotic home that we cannot fully decorate until the extension has been built. Matt was extremely flexible and fitted us in at short notice given the urgency of the situation. Always smiling and taking the pressure off me, giving me one less thing to worry about as he knew I was very stressed, he was fully in control of what he needed to achieve. He has done an amazing job and it goes without saying that he will be back to decorate the rest of the bungalow once the extension is done. It is difficult to put into words how grateful we are to Matt but I hope this review goes some way to doing that! Top bloke, lovely singing, excellent job, can’t thank you enough!

Matt recently finished repainting the entire outside of our 6-bedroom house (to a different colour). It became clear very quickly that we could simply leave him to it as he knew exactly what he was doing, he was very focused on the job and extremely professional and respectful. All of the downpipes came off and were painted, all the gutters were removed, he even replaced corners of the eves which were rotten, (he had to make them bespoke to fit what was there previously). We had recently had new windows and bifold doors installed and we were initially worried that paint would get on the windows or the frames. We definitely did not need to worry, he is most probably the most fastidious tradesman we have ever used, everything was carried out to perfection, he screened all windows and sills and tidied up after himself each evening before he left. He was with us over 6 weeks and it was nice to hear him sing along to his radio all day. A very happy professional who takes great pride and interest in his work. We have also hired him to repaint all our kitchen and utility cupboards, which he started doing on rainy days. He is coming to finish these off when he finishes his next job. Lastly and very important for us is that we have 3 dogs, and we are very cautious about their security, Matt was so respectful of this and always ensured gates and doors were closed behind him to ensure our pooches did not come to any harm. We will definitely use him again for any work which we need done in the future.

Matthew did a fantastic job painting our kitchen/dining room. He obviously takes a lot of pride in his work and he was always willing to provide help and tips for our DIY. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and professional painter and decorator.

We booked Matthew to Paint all our windows outside this year on our cottage in July 2023. I have to say he did a smashing job , took pride in his work and went that extra mile and nothing was too much trouble . Going to be booking Matthew to Paint the outside of our cottage next year too. I can highly recommend Matthew for his work and competitive pricing. He quoted for a job in November 2020, his popularity was such that we were scheduled for January 2021, but we entered the 2nd COVID lock down and I asked to delay the job until April. Finally contacted him again in early March and Matthew fitted me in before the end of March and stayed true to his original quote. He was most considerate of my home, being clean and tidy throughout and he operated completely within COVID rules with masks on all day even if we were not even in the same room as him and kept his 2m distance when we were. We never felt at risk. Matthew was also nice joking with my cheeky 9yo and nothing felt any trouble to him. I would happily use him again.

Absolutely delighted with the fantastic job Matthew has done of our hall, stairs and landing. He is a pleasure to have in the house and his singing is done with as much enthusiasm as his painting! I couldn't recommend Matthew highly enough.

We couldn't fault Matthew. He came several times to ensure that we chose the correct paint, was always friendly and cheerful, did exactly as he said he would, and beyond by engaging us where additional decisions could be useul; unlike some trades where they have assumed what we want! His fees are very good, and again unlike some trades he cleaned up after each day and removed all waste.
